Thursday, June 06, 2002I am pretty astounded at how much my attitude towards Mr. Rogers has changed now that I have kids.I am not exactly sure how we are going overcome the problems of bureaucracy and oppressive rules in homeland security by creating a bureaucracy and set of oppressive rules to do that. Tuesday, June 04, 2002This is what happens when you vote Democratic. Up until a few days ago, it was illegal for the FBI to surf the Internet to gather information! Huh? It was also illegal for the FBI to attend public rallies as part of an investigation. Huh? And the best part is the howling on the Left when Ashcroft lifted these bans. How in the world is it a violation of our civil rights to have the FBI attend a public rally? Sheesh. This is what happens when you vote Democratic. Monday, June 03, 2002Man, I love Jonah Goldberg. I mean, I really love the guy. He's easily amongst the top three or four sensible guys in America. I mean, take his article right here for example. He says, once again, something that we all know in our hearts but no one ever seems willing to put in print -- that the Islamic world is, as a whole, a bunch of nutjobs with delusions of grandeur. Why isn't this obvious to everyone?Tradition ... is the democracy of the dead ... Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about. -- GK Chesterton Wow. A Lefty that actually admits that his ideas have consequences, and often those consequences are negative. Sunday, June 02, 2002I watched the Lakers "win" the Western Conference Titles tonight, and as a result, I haven't even the slightest doubt -- not one shred of doubt -- that the fix was in. One only has to watch Mike Bibby driving to the hoop in the waining seconds of overtime, and see him get hammered to the ground to see it as clear as day. The same exact thing happened to Steve Smith of the Portland Trailblazers two years ago in their game seven with the Lakers. Again, I haven't got even the slightest doubt that the game was fixed. Absolutely ridiculous. I can't see the differnence between the NBA and professional wrestling. |
